Context Ideas

I have been trying to think of a concept for the Context publication and wondering what ties in all of my work. These were my initial thoughts to take to the crit this morning. After discussing my ideas with the group I feel I have been slightly wrong in my approach. I am now going to focus my thoughts towards the idea of 'design experience'. This can be studied from most aspects of design, it relates to all of my briefs... let me explain.
-
Letterforms create a tone of voice in turn an experience
These letterforms turn into words and senences (a reading experience)
These senteces turn into paragraphs and eventually into articles / books etc.
How you turn the pages and engage with it as a bit of print is a reading experience.
A piece of furniture is an experience, how you sit on it will evoke feelings, whether you are comfortable or not will be a good or bad experience, even the tiniest details such as the texture of finish off the wood create a physical engagement and experience with the product.
An exhibition is an experience, how you engage with the signage and interpret the information can all be changed by the design of the event.
This experience will change your opinion of the event, all stemming from the design, something that engages and interacts with the user will always evoke a greater reaction whether good or bad. These are all things that I have been discussing when thinking about the yearbook but they are aspects that I want to include in all of my briefs.

This as a topic really interests me and its something I try and include in all my work, both engagement and interaction features result in different experiences. This is what I will focus my study towards from this point (specifically for the context publication) but also towards my briefs.

Below are my initial thoughts for the direction I want to take with my Context research...
