Graphic Workshop Issue

Graphic workshop issue focuses on a variety of workshops within different graphic design concepts and focuses. One discusses the Typography Summer School in London and has given me some brilliant guidance as to how to approach my own workshop. Really beautiful magazine and managed to pick it up half price as it was a display model!

Through the book there are ongoing interviews with the tutors or educators that run the workshops and what they aim to achieve form each one. Each has a detailed description of how the run each workshop, who they are aimed at and images of the results from each. Really useful research for my project!

The typography featured through the book is really interesting featuring layouts in different languages. The consistent layouts and really well executed body copy add value to the magazine / publication and can offer me a lot of guidance to all of my publication based projects!

Bold statements about each are made through out the book. The type also woks beautifully against the uncoated stock... consistent through the entire magazine apart from the initial pages that show full colour images of the responses each group created! These are all areas to consider when creating the final publication.
