Including materials?

Despite the unfortunate client for this job the interior guidelines created by Morse Studio are beautiful. The inclusion of materials samples is beautiful, as well as the overall execution of the publication. I like that the materials are in solid forms, and although their purpose is not the same as what I intend my samples in the catalogue to be, the solid forms really allow people to pick up and engage with them.

The book is simple using a bold sans and simple colour pallet, similar to the altered layouts in Mc Donalds stores. The binding method works well for the job but wouldn't be appropriate for what I am doing. It has however shown me another approach for including materials into the publication, I will go back to some of my earlier ideas and consider how the wood samples could be included in the publication rather than separately.
