The Entente—No Cash Value

I have decided that my publication should be about type and the experiences that typography creates. I aim to produce the publication showcasing typography from its smallest form in a single letter all the way too huge 3D typographic installations. This will allow me to understand how typography works and says a lot about my own work and ambitions.

I have been doing some research into type exhibitions and came across this exhibition by the Entente, a Brighton based studio who created the Colophon foundry.

The exhibition 'No Cash Value' is about the cultural exchange that takes places the collective work of an American designer and two English designers in side a Dutch project space. It looks to the different currencies from the mentioned locations as abstract representations of each place. The designers/ typographers involved are Colophon foundry (UK) and Benjamin Critton from the US.
Think its quite hard to go wrong with this colour scheme but the execution of the typography is beautiful and the overall concept is relatively abstract and intriguing worked well with the Dutch design scene. This is a definite feature for my research publication. I will email the Entete to see if they can provide me with some high quality images for the publication.
