Letters for Mailouts

Seeing as the project is about creating typography from the shapes / grids it seemed appropriate to create type samples using the same process. This gives some indication towards the content of the project and hopefully builds some more interest around the idea.

These are a selection of the letters that I have created from using the grids. I want to create an entire alphabet or at least the letters to spell out DIY Typography. The letters have had a considerable amount of reworking since creating them from the grids, but this is a sign that maybe people will develop the ideas past the basic grid.

The idea behind these letters was to really embody the idea of experimental typography. They do however need some serious re-working before being finalised.
