The Space

I have managed to get hold of some photos from the event last year to get a better idea of the space and how the signage is going to work. These images show possible placement of the different forms of signage and how the event starts to tie together with the concept.

The first signage will consist of a large vinyl sticker placed on the wall with images using the same blue as the poster design. This represents the labour aspect of the brief using blue images of the work process of the students. These will match up with a numbering system on the products making the referencing between the different parts of the exhibition easier and more accessible.

The second aspect to the signage I have been thinking about is the boards that stand up next to the users work. We wanted something that could hold the students portfolio as well as their bio. This design means the portfolio can be slipped between the hole in the middle and be located / easily accessible from the product it is explaining. Also because there will be wasted MDF from the wood used to cover the sinks they will be cheap and easy to produce,
