Extended Examples

These images really embody the nature of what the brand is about, simplicity, staying true to materials and combining old and new methods of production. I felt having a few extended posts about their individual products would better inform my progress with the brand identity and what the duo stand for.

  • Danish-Japanese design duo, Inoda Sveje has designed "DC10", dining chair produced by Japanese manufacturer, Miyazaki Chair Factory.
The chair is the culmination of our studies in past and present production techniques, to combining advanced machinery finishing and exist handicraft. The wood-parts in the chair flows together in a continuous organic surface; an outside and a inside surface meeting in a line and the inner surface adapting to human ergonomics. While the chair is not decorated in a classic sense every small part of the surface has been treated as a decorative element.

The works of Inoda Sveje and Miyazaki Chair Factory will be on show in an exhibition at Galleria Seno, Via Ciovasso 11, during Milan Design Week 2012.-
