I have been developing some of my ideas towards the wood sample pack. This idea utilises the tactile quality of the veneers that communicate the quality of the woods that Inoda & Sveje use in their products. It also works on a budget and makes the product a viable method of communicating the quality of the materials.

I experimented with a few layouts but felt the square shapes are more effective than the circle designs as the circle would be much harder to match up. The final production will be done using a laser cutter to ensure the best quality finish possible.
The pack would be held together using elastic bands but this is a slightly over used method and I aim to explore some other options before finalising the designs. I need to change the body copy to work the business cards and rest of the identity before finalising the design. The type is set in its most basic form and works on a modular grid to keep the squares aligned.

Each layer has one less hole cut through as it moves to the end wood which has no holes, meaning its possible to see all the woods from the front and if a further inspection is required the pack can be dismantled exposing a wider surface area of each wood.
